Yes - after a very long hiatus, we are proud to bring back one of the oldest collegiate ballroom competitions in the country onto your schedules. With this year invitational, we seek to both honor our roots, by the return of the 2-day format and our high attention to details, bringing professional ambiance to the realm of collegiate ballroom, as well as continue with our latest traditions, keeping the second day of the competition highly alike to the former years' Harvard Beginners.

The Professional Showcase
The Professional Showcase
Sunday's Professional Showcase is one of the latest additions to the annual Harvard competition, yet without a doubt one of the most cherished ones. This event is meant to give the entire community a unique opportunity to watch some of the best dancing in the world, completely for free. This year's pro. showcase couple include:

Florin Vlad & Natalia O'Connor (Int. Standard)
William Tong & Crystal Song (Am. Smooth)
Yimeng Xu & Sabrina Sharmeen (Am. Rhythm)

The Rookie-Vet Dance
The Rookie-Vet Dance
We encourage every school to participate in the Rookie-Vet Dance, one of the most beloved Beginners traditions that we bring back to this year's Sunday part of Invitational. In this event, each school can form teams (dependent on how many rookies you have!) with four rookies led by anything from one to four veteran dancers, competing as a team across four different dances. Judges will not only evaluate frame and technique - they’re also looking for creative costumes, inventive themes, and never-before-seen choreography. In past years, we’ve seen cowboys, inflatable giraffes, zombies… your imagination is the limit!
For this year's Rookie-Vet Dance, we wish you best of luck as you come up with crazy choreos for the: Foxtrot, Salsa, Swing, and Paso Doble!
The Hanlon-Ford Gala
The Hanlon-Ford Gala
The Saturday Hanlon-Ford Gala is an open celebration of ballroom dancing, intended to bring a taste of the Winter Gardens to Boston. Put on your best cocktail attire and join us for an evening of social dancing, socializing with other dancers over drinks from our cash bar, or watching the finals of the Open Championship events!

The Competition
The Competition
Harvard Invitational is, primarily, collegiate competition at its finest. Whether you are an advanced, open dancer, looking to dance under the bright stage lights, judged by some of the best adjudicators in the area, or a newcomer - this competition is for you. For this year's competition, all of the Open events are taking place on Saturday, and all of the Syllabus events happen on Sunday.
