Advice For Taking Our Ballroom Dance Lessons
We advise registering as soon as possible.
While we try our best to accommodate everyone, classes sometimes fill quickly.
We encourage you to take more than one class.
We offer complementary classes back to back to give you the opportunity to try a wide variety of ballroom dancing.
FAQ
Do I need to register with a partner? Tell me more about partners.
No partner required. Part of the fun of taking lessons is meeting new people and you will have the chance to dance with everyone else in the class. Alternatively, if you are taking the class with your "special someone" we won't force you to dance with other people, though we do encourage it.
Do I need to have dance experience? Rhythm? Special shoes?
No, no, and no.
What should I wear to class?
You may wear anything you like, however we all like our partners to look good, right?
You will find it easier to participate if you wear shoes in which you can dance. Flip-flops
often flop right off. Sometimes new rubber soled shoes stick to the floor. People who wear heavy, baggy clothes are usually hot. Just remember that you will be moving around and dancing for an hour and you'll be fine.
Can I register and pay "at the door"?
Certainly, however it is best to register in advance for several reasons.
First and foremost, classes fill. Second, is that we don't have the manpower required to do a good job both check people in for class and registering new participants... we will, it just may be inefficient. Register online in advance if at all possible. Thank you.
Is there any "fine print"?
Of course! Would you take us seriously if we didn't have fine print?
